It’s Illinois’ Primary day .... But our town just shut down all village buildings to the public. One of those is our polling place.
No idea what's going on. I guess I'll just have to drive by and see.

Illinois seems to still be going forward. Nothing like having your poll workers who are mostly elderly volunteers be in contact with hundreds if not thousands of people during a pandemic.

They put out an emergency call for healthy volunteers, since so many of them were calling off for that very reason.
The village just replied to my question on Facebook. The rec center is open for polling only, but nothing else will be going on there.

And early today t he ohio supreme court shot down a request by a candidate to keep polls open.

I heard back from the village via my Facebook comment. Polling is open at the rec center, so we're good to go.

We voted this morning ( Illinois) and it was oddly uneventful.

We were able to vote as well. It also went remarkably normally.
